Green Salad Bowl Lettuce (Lactuca sativa) is a loose-leaf hardy annual ‘cut and come again’ variety of lettuce, this means you can pick individual leaves and the lettuce plant will continue to grow.
Lettuce can be grown year-round in most climates. Avoid planting in extremely hot or cold weather which can affect germination and growth.
Wild rocket (Diplotaxis tenuifolia) is a hardy perennial plant growing to 40cm. Plants have an upright habit and are grown for their deeply serrated leaves which have a strong peppery flavour similar to rocket but far more pungent.
Wild rocket is most commonly used as a salad green but can also be used cooked; makes an excellent addition to stir fries. Very popular in Italian cuisine.

Bees are an important part of our everyday life. They produce delicious honey for our pleasure that hosts antibacterial, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory qualities, and they pollinate approximately 30% of our food crops and 90% of our wild plants.
Bees play a vital role in preserving biodiversity and ecosystem health. Without bees, many ecosystems will be altered and no longer exist.
Unfortunately, bee diversity and populations are threatened due to the destruction of their natural habitats, bee disease and pests, agricultural chemicals, and a decline in commercial beekeeping.
How to help our bees from becoming extinct
· Stop using chemical insecticides & herbicides and replace them with natural alternatives.
· Plant ‘bee-friendly’ gardens with various native plants and pollen-rich flowers. Diversity is the key, aim for flowers to bloom at different times of the year.
· Let your garden get a little messy…A few weeds and wildflowers offer more biodiversity so our bees can forage.
· Only source local honey and support our important beekeeping industry.

Tasmania and Western Australia have strict quarantine rules and can incur fines upon inspection for anything that may pose a potential biosecurity threat. Seeded paper is prohibited.
We do not recommend sending seed products internationally, as customs and quarantine laws vary from country to country and seeds may pose an ecological threat to the importing country.
Laura Luke ships from New South Wales in Australia, so we do not recommend that customers from these states or outside Australia purchase seeded paper products. Laura Luke is not liable for quarantine fees or penalties customers may incur. You may prefer to purchase one of our standard greeting cards instead.
